The eight functions
Fe: Extraverted Feeling
"Are we okay?"
Fe reads and tends the mood between people, and keeps the group together.
What it does
Extraverted Feeling judges by shared values and by the needs of the people present. It senses the emotional climate of a room, adapts to it and works to keep everyone included. Jung described it as feeling in tune with the situation and with the values people hold in common.
It is the function of connection and care. It often thinks out loud, and settles its own feelings by sharing them.

The Fe and Ti axis
Fe's opposite is Ti. Fe asks what is good for us; Ti asks what is true for me. A strong Fe grows by daring an honest truth; a strong Ti by noticing how its truths land on people.

In the light: the ego
People are your playground. Making a room laugh, hosting and charming strangers come naturally.
Being liked is your soft spot. Under stress you can feel unloved, hypersensitive, or burst out emotionally.
In the shadow
Opposing PersonalityINFP ISFPYou
Group feelings and social expectations can make you dig in. When pushed, you refuse to play along, or doubt other people's kindness. Made conscious, it helps you see how your words land.
When you feel attacked, you turn the group against someone: guilt, shame, or the cold remark that "nobody likes this". Accepted, it becomes a wise sense of what people need.
Your deepest fear here is being rejected and alone. In the worst moments it shows up as cutting people off, or playing on their feelings. Met and accepted, it gives you a deep and honest kind of love.
